I help couples and individuals to overcome personal obstacles, improve their relationships, change the way they think and find peace and contentment even when in difficult circumstances. I have learned to do this in my own life and marriage. I gained an Advanced Diploma in Christian and Family Counselling from A.I.F.C in 2007. I have been helping people regularly with issues like anger management, handling grief, building self-esteem, anxiety and depression, relationship problems and addictions. I have also helped clients who have experienced road accident trauma. As a Christian counsellor I help clients to draw upon their faith and bible teaching to help them add and extra dimension to their emotional and mental wellbeing.Sophie Claire

Over the years, my heart for coming alongside people has led to my involvement with various community youth organisations, wellbeing-related roles in schools, and now the space of counselling.
There are many different reasons you may be interested in the support of a counsellor. Some are hoping to address issues that leave them feeling “stuck” and unable to move forward in their current life; some are looking for healing from past trauma; some are seeking personal growth, and some might just feel that connecting with a counsellor may be helpful in their journey.
Whether it is change, healing, or growth that you are looking for, I am passionate about coming alongside people in these areas. I offer a space for you to be heard and supported with consideration to a holistic approach, integrating the cognitive, emotional, physical, and social aspects of a person. For those who consider faith/spirituality as an important part of their life, this is also an area we can involve in the counselling process.
If you are considering counselling, I would love to hear from you – feel free to get in touch via the Harvest Community Care office at 0421 369 142.

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to overlook our mental and emotional wellbeing. We often push through stress, carry silent burdens, and feel as though we just have to “get on with it.” But the truth is, everyone needs support at times—and that’s perfectly okay.
Counselling offers a safe, non-judgemental space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences freely. Whether you’re facing anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, or simply feeling overwhelmed, talking with a trained professional can help you gain clarity, build resilience, and reconnect with yourself.
My passion lies in helping people heal and grow into the best version of themselves. I bring over 20 years of experience supporting individuals across a range of ages and backgrounds, including my work in schools and through coordinating and overseeing community conferences that empower people from local, rural, and international communities. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the diverse challenges individuals face at different stages of life and the importance of having someone walk alongside you during those moments.
As a counsellor, I offer empathy, understanding, and a supportive presence. You don’t have to face life’s challenges alone. Reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not weakness—your mental health matters, and support is always within reach.
